Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous Scaleman to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing goods, maintaining scale calibration, and ensuring compliance with regulatory weight standards. Previous experience in the manufacturing or logistics sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and measure all incoming and outgoing goods.
• Calibrate and maintain scales according to industry standards.
• Ensure all weight records are kept up-to-date and accessible.
• Assist with packaging and preparation for shipments.
• Identify and resolve any issues related to weight discrepancies.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Work collaboratively with the logistics team to optimize workflow.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support training for new staff on scale operations.
• Contribute to team meetings regarding operational improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience with weight regulations and standard operating procedures is preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems: Experience with software tools for tracking and managing inventory.
