Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Diversity and Inclusion Officer to drive our initiatives in creating an inclusive workplace in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies that promote diversity across all departments while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, fostering a culture of respect, and nurturing an environment that values the contributions of all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to evaluate employee sentiment around diversity and inclusion.
  • Build relationships with external organizations to foster partnerships.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices for D&I to all departments.
  • Develop communication plans to promote diversity initiatives and their measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international diversity legislation.
  • Promote initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives and values.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Human Resources, or related field
  • Master's degree in an applicable discipline is preferred
Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in diversity and inclusion strategies

  • Experience in conflict resolution: Background in handling workplace conflicts and facilitating resolutions.
