Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Summons Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for serving legal documents, such as summonses and subpoenas, to individuals involved in legal proceedings. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently while managing a high volume of assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver legal documents to specified individuals efficiently.
  • Ensure complete documentation of service attempts for records.
  • Liaise with law enforcement if necessary during service.
  • Strictly adhere to legal guidelines and best practices in service.
  • Manage and organize a case load effectively to ensure timely service.
  • Communicate clearly with all parties involved regarding service status.
  • Attend training sessions to stay informed on changes in regulations.
  • Utilize electronic databases and tools for case management.
  • Support other team members in high-volume periods as necessary.
  • Engage in community research for locating hard-to-find individuals.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Experience
  • Experience in process serving or law enforcement is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in document management software.
Soft Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness.
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Setswana: Conversational
