Job Description

As a Tax Specialist at Leading Tax Consultancy, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with South African tax laws. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of various tax regulations and the ability to interpret complex tax information. Your role will involve working closely with clients to enhance their tax strategies while ensuring compliance and minimising liabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert reports on taxation trends and issues to clients.
• Support on assessments and appeals related to tax disputes.
• Evaluate tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Train and mentor junior staff members in tax compliance and strategy.
• Prepare presentations on tax-related topics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely reporting of tax payments to avoid penalties.
• Review transactions and systems for tax compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
• Master's degree in Taxation or relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of significant experience in taxation or financial advisory
