VoIP Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled VoIP Engineer to manage and enhance our telephony infrastructure in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining VoIP systems that meet our client needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication solutions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing VoIP systems.
• Participate in projects for new system rollouts and upgrades.
• Create network diagrams and workflow documentation related to VoIP.
• Perform routine system checks and diagnostics.
• Engage with vendors to procure telephony equipment and software.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering
• Relevant industry certifications are preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with VoIP systems

• Asterisk
• SIP Trunking

• CompTIA Network+
• Cisco Collaboration Specialist

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
