Job Description

Responsibilities

• Conduct land use and zoning studies to assess the feasibility of proposed developments.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and environmental consultants to create comprehensive urban plans.
• Engage with community members to gather input and address concerns about urban development.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders and local authorities.
• Review and amend existing plans based on community needs and government regulations.
• Monitor urban development projects to ensure compliance with planning policies.
• Utilize GIS software to analyze spatial data and present visual representations of planning concepts.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in urban planning.
• Assist in the preparation of development proposals and grant applications.
• Facilitate workshops and public meetings to foster community involvement in planning processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in urban planning or a related discipline

Certifications

• Registered Professional Planner (RPP)
