Corporate Law Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a Corporate Law Consultant to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and transactional matters, while ensuring alignment with local regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate compliance and governance standards.
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize a variety of legal documents.
• Perform legal research and analysis on corporate laws and regulations.
• Assist clients in navigating legal challenges during business transactions.
• Conduct training for internal teams on legal compliance matters.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication.
• Participate in business development initiatives to grow the client base.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent
• Master's degree in Corporate Law is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in corporate law with a focus on compliance and governance

Certifications

• Compliance Certification Board (CCB)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
