Job Description

As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for examining and treating animals, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper animal care. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose health issues, perform surgeries if needed.
• Advise on dietary and lifestyle changes for better health.
• Document medical histories and treatments.
• Oversee and train veterinary nurses and assistants.
• Promote preventive health programs and wellness checks.
• Contribute to a positive practice culture through teamwork.
• Engage with clients to build lasting relationships.
• Research and adopt new medical practices.
• Assist in developing a strong client education program.
• Support local animal shelters and charities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Registered with the Veterinary Council of South Africa

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on clinical experience

• Radiology

• Pet First Aid Certification

• English: Fluent
