We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, providing information about the hotel and local attractions, and ensuring that every visitor feels welcome and valued.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guests during check-in and check-out.
  • Manage booking systems and ensure all information is accurately recorded.
  • Handle guest complaints and strive for satisfactory resolutions.
  • Support the overall guest experience by coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Conduct night audits and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
  • Assist with marketing efforts by promoting hotel amenities and services.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance front office skills.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold company values.
Job Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software Familiarity with systems like OPERA or similar.
  • Basic accounting skills Capable of handling invoicing and payment processes.
  • Strong customer service orientation Dedicated to enhancing guest satisfaction.
  • Problem-solving skills Able to address challenges effectively and efficiently.
  • Team player Works collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
  • English (Fluent)
  • Afrikaans (Conversational)
Advantageous
  • Previous experience in luxury hotels: Ability to manage high-end guest expectations and service.
  • Multilingual skills: Ability to communicate in multiple languages adds value to guest interactions.
