Public Health Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Public Health Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs aimed at promoting community wellness and disease prevention. You will also collaborate with various stakeholders, including local health departments and NGOs, to improve health services and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design targeted health education materials for diverse populations.
• Evaluate health programs to determine impact and areas for improvement.
• Lead community workshops and health fairs to raise awareness.
• Collaborate with researchers to publish findings in health journals.
• Coordinate health screenings and vaccination drives.
• Develop partnerships with local businesses for health promotion.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years in health program management or community outreach
