Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our Port Elizabeth team. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing compliance programs and ensuring our operations adhere to regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance audits and manage compliance reviews.
• Train staff on compliance procedures and best practices.
• Analyze compliance data and present findings to management.
• Assist with the development and execution of compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate with legal advisors on compliance-related matters.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Monitor compliance trends and recommend proactive measures.
• Document compliance processes and ensure they are followed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
• A Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in compliance or legal roles

Technical Skills

• Compliance Management Systems
• Internal Auditing

Soft Skills

• Detail-Oriented
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Compliance Officer (CCO)
• Compliance Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate in local languages is a plus.
• Experience with compliance software tools: Familiarity with tools used for compliance management can enhance productivity.
