Join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth as an Insurance Underwriter. You will evaluate client applications, analyze financial data, and determine coverage terms. The ability to communicate effectively with clients is crucial as you will also provide them with insights and advice about policy options.

Responsibilities

• Assess and determine the acceptability of risks based on underwriting principles.
• Provide recommendations for policy improvements based on claims experience.
• Work closely with actuaries to understand underwriting profitability.
• Assist in developing training materials for new underwriters.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Postgraduate studies in Risk Management advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in underwriting with a focus on commercial insurance.
