Penetration Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing security systems and identifying vulnerabilities to ensure our clients' data remains protected.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth security assessments of websites, networks, and systems.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities leveraging the latest methodologies.
• Develop scripts and tools for automation of vulnerability scanning and testing.
• Provide training to junior security staff on penetration testing techniques.
• Collaborate in red team/blue team exercises to improve defensive measures.
• Document and maintain a knowledge base of security practices and protocols.
• Advise on security architecture and risk management strategies.
• Stay current with developing security threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in penetration testing
