Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you will work on impactful projects addressing environmental challenges, including water management, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in environmental project planning and execution.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on sustainable development initiatives.
• Conduct field surveys and collect environmental data.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and policies.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications for environmental projects.
• Engage with communities to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Water Resource Management
• Environmental Policy Development

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• LEED Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in Environmental Science: Additional certifications related to environmental science will be beneficial.
• Public Speaking Skills: Experience in presenting environmental topics to diverse audiences.
