Job Description

As a Forest and Conservation Technician, you'll play a crucial role in managing livestock grazing and maintaining the health of pasturelands. Your responsibilities will include monitoring livestock wellbeing, overseeing feed resources, and ensuring adherence to environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing grazing rotations to optimize pasture use.
• Monitor climatic conditions and their effect on grazing lands.
• Engage in training sessions on sustainable practices and animal husbandry.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving pasture biodiversity.
• Coordinate with local farmers to share best practices in livestock management.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss land management strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Matric
• Higher education in agriculture or environmental sciences is a plus

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in similar roles
