Job Description

We are searching for a passionate Public Health Specialist to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs aimed at improving community health outcomes. You will work closely with health professionals and stakeholders to design initiatives that address various health issues through research and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct public health assessments and analyze health data to identify community needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor health programs and interventions.
• Collaborate with health professionals and organizations to enhance community outreach.
• Prepare reports and presentations on health findings and program outcomes.
• Engage in community education and outreach initiatives to promote health awareness.
• Advise on policy initiatives aiming to improve public health standards.
• Train and mentor junior health staff and volunteers.
• Stay updated with the latest public health research and trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in public health or community health work

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
