Learning and Development Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Learning and Development Officer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying training needs, designing and implementing development programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. This role is vital in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement succession planning initiatives.
• Identify external training opportunities and facilitate participation.
• Support the HR team in building a learning culture within the workplace.
• Manage budgets for training programs and negotiate with external providers.
• Prepare reports on training outcomes and employee progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
• Relevant certifications in Learning and Development are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity with a focus on adult learning principles

• LMS Technologies

Certifications

• Learning and Development Practitioner (LDP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
