Job Description

As a Social Worker in Cape Town, you will engage with various communities, assisting individuals facing social and economic challenges. Your role will involve advocating for clients, providing resources to promote mental well-being, and supporting families to foster resilience and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate case management for clients facing complex social issues.
• Provide information and referrals to community resources and services.
• Act as a liaison between clients and government agencies.
• Organize events and initiatives to engage the community in social development.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of social programs and suggest improvements.
• Document and report on client interactions and case outcomes.
• Advise and mentor junior staff in best practices for client care.
• Promote cultural competency and inclusivity in service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Master's degree in Social Work is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in social service provision
