Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in corporate law, with experience in advising companies on compliance, contracts, and corporate governance. You will work closely with clients to guide them through complex legal scenarios, ensuring compliance with South African laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop legal strategies to mitigate risks for clients.
• Review corporate documents, ensuring compliance with South African laws.
• Support the firm's business development initiatives through legal guidance.
• Foster a collaborative working environment with other professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of legal proceedings and transactions.
• Provide legal opinions on various corporate matters.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of junior lawyers.
• Participate in industry networking events to build professional relationships.

Requirements

Education

• JD or equivalent degree in Law
• Postgraduate diploma in corporate law is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corporate law and litigation
