Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated IP Legal Analyst to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing intellectual property portfolios, conducting legal research, and advising clients on IP matters. A strong background in Intellectual Property Law, particularly in patents and trademarks, is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analyses of IP portfolios.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on IP rights and management.
  • Prepare and file trademark and patent applications.
  • Support the commercialization of clients' intellectual property.
  • Engage with clients to understand their IP needs and challenges.
  • Monitor industry trends in IP law and practice.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote IP services.
  • Assist clients in navigating regulatory environments.
  • Facilitate training sessions on IP rights for clients.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for clients and management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
  • LLM in Intellectual Property Law is an advantage
Experience
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in an IP-focused role
