Job Description

As a Counter and Rental Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the rental process of baby strollers to our customers. Your role will involve ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining optimal inventory levels and cleanliness of rental equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon arrival and assist them with their rental needs.
  • Inspect returned strollers for damages and ensure they are ready for the next rental.
  • Ensure strollers are sanitized and adhere to safety standards.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Participate in promotional events to boost rental sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental area.
  • Perform regular checks on inventory levels and order new stock as necessary.
  • Help train new staff on rental procedures and customer service best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the rental team to achieve monthly goals.
  • Develop rapport with returning customers to enhance service quality.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail or customer service is preferred
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Patience and empathy
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • isiXhosa: Conversational
