Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Legal Advisor to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance and support across various legal matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws. You will be tasked with advising on legal rights, obligations, and potential issues affecting our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the organization's operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on legal matters to senior management.
  • Review policies and advise on their legal implications.
  • Prepare reports on legal issues for the executive team.
  • Engage with regulators and stakeholders to resolve legal matters.
  • Oversee the work of junior legal staff and provide mentorship.
  • Contribute to the development of a corporate culture of compliance.
  • Conduct workshops on legal topics relevant to the organization.
  • Identify trends in legal issues affecting the organization and industry.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
  • Master's degree in Law (LLM) is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of legal experience with a focus on corporate law
