Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems. You will supervise the manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering exceptional engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative mechanical systems that meet project specifications.
• Supervise the assembly and installation of mechanical components.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and materials for engineering applications.
• Compile and manage project documentation, including design reports.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues as they arise.
• Schedule and conduct quality assurance tests on new products.
• Facilitate communication between engineering and production departments.
• Prepare presentations and updates for project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Registered as a Professional Engineering Technologist is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with project management experience

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping and 3D Printing

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Project management

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in aerospace or automotive industries: Prior experience working on projects within the aerospace or automotive sectors, with knowledge of specific regulations.
• Familiarity with CAD software: Experience in using CAD software for design and engineering documentation.
