Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee our compliance framework in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our operations meet all regulatory requirements, thereby minimizing risk and enhancing our reputation.

Responsibilities

• Review and revise compliance policies in line with current regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend controls to mitigate risks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory developments.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders internal and external.
• Deliver presentations and updates on compliance matters to management.
• Assist with the development of compliance-related KPIs and metrics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in compliance management or related fields

Technical Skills

• Policy Development
• Compliance Monitoring

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
• Master in Compliance Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with internal audits and compliance assessments: Strong background in conducting internal compliance checks and audits.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks: Familiarity with ISO and other risk management standards.
