Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Counsel to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support across various aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on legal rights and obligations, and managing disputes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to management and other departments.
• Interpret and advise on employment law matters.
• Draft policy documents and ensure alignment with legislation.
• Implement legal processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Facilitate communication between legal and business teams.
• Monitor compliance training and other educational initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or similar qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in Law is advantageous.

Experience

• 5-7 years of relevant legal experience

Certifications

• Admitted attorney in South Africa

Languages

• English: Fluent
